CHITRAL: Substandard wheat is being provided to the people in the Charun, Kurag and Charun Oveer villages of upper Chitral, said Mohammad Musa, a social worker.
He added that the wheat provided by grain godown was not eatable. The people held strike for this injustice but the government did not take any action.
In the beginning, the 50 kg clean and 50 kg dirty wheat was being given to the people and now the people are forced to buy 20 kg dirty wheat packed in the clean sack of wheat. This is shameful and a joke with the poor people of upper Chitral.
He also demanded of the provincial and the district governments to take quick action in this regard to help the poor people of upper Chitral.--Bashir Hussain Azad
