Complaints against teachers

CHITRAL: The residents of Garam Chashma have complained that teachers at local government-run girl schools remained absent from duty and students were facing problems.
During an open kutchery, they sought action against the ‘irresponsible’ teachers. They complained that most of the lady teachers did not attend schools but engaged local girls to proxy them on nominal payment which adversely affected the academic progress.
Provincial Population Minister Saleem Khan on the occasion directed the DCO to submit inquiry report so that disciplinary action could be initiated against accused teachers. He said that no laxity could be tolerated when it is the question of education of girls.
The minister asked the parents-teachers associations of the government schools to play their due role to pinpointing irregularities in schools.--Zahiruddin
